We are delighted to announce that Call-In Homecare, part of Clece Care Scotland, has been awarded the Social Value Quality Mark (SVQM) Silver accreditation – a major milestone in our ongoing commitment to delivering outstanding social value across Scotland.
What Does SVQM Silver Mean?
The Social Value Quality Mark Silver award is a nationally recognised standard that celebrates organisations who deliver measurable, meaningful social impact. For us, this achievement reflects our dedication to putting people, communities, and values at the heart of everything we do. The Silver level requires 100% compliance with all mandatory standards and a high score across all areas of social value – we achieved an impressive overall compliance score of 86.3%.

Highlights from Our Social Value Journey
Leadership and Culture
Social value is woven into the fabric of our organisation, guided by our core values – the ‘Three C’s’: Care with Compassion, Culture, and Competence. Our team is fully committed to this ethos, embracing it in every aspect of our work and interactions. By living these values each day, we create a positive, inclusive environment where everyone feels empowered to make a meaningful difference.
Supporting Local Communities
We are proud to invest in the places where we live and work. By directing 65% of our monthly spend to Scottish suppliers – accounting for 75% of all invoices raised – we help strengthen local businesses and economies. Prioritising local supply chains means our investments have a direct, positive impact on the communities we serve, fostering growth, resilience, and shared success.
Championing Fair Pay & Equality
We are proud to be a real Living Wage employer, ensuring that every member of our team receives fair pay for their valuable work. Our commitment to equality goes further – we have achieved gender pay parity, guaranteeing equal pay for equal work and fostering an environment where women thrive in leadership roles. By championing fairness and opportunity, we help our colleagues build rewarding careers and contribute to a more inclusive workplace.
Investing in Wellbeing & Mental Health
We are dedicated to creating a workplace where every colleague feels supported and valued. Our Mental Health First Aider programme ensures staff have access to trained support whenever they need it. In addition, all team members benefit from free, unlimited mental health services through our Employee Assistance Programme, providing confidential help for any personal or professional challenges.
The recent SVQM Silver audit recognised our proactive approach to wellbeing and highlighted our commitment to creating a supportive environment. We are continuously working to further increase access to mental health resources and build even greater trust, so every colleague feels empowered to seek support when needed.
Empowering Through Education & Skills
We are passionate about supporting every colleague’s growth and development. Our comprehensive training programme combines both mandatory and non-mandatory courses, ensuring staff have the skills and confidence to progress in their careers.
We actively nurture young talent through our internship and work experience programmes, helping to build valuable skills and strengthen our ties with the local community. Our partnership with DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) sees us regularly attending schools for talks and careers fairs, inspiring and connecting with young people who are ready to take their first steps into the world of work.

Building Trust & Community
We believe that trust and satisfaction are the foundation of a thriving workplace. In our recent staff survey, an impressive 83% of colleagues shared that they see themselves continuing their careers with Call-In Homecare – a testament to our supportive culture and commitment to staff wellbeing.
Our partnerships with charities such as The Care Workers Charity and the Royal Voluntary Service reflect our dedication to giving back and supporting those who care for others. Through ongoing engagement with stakeholders and local communities, we ensure our services continually evolve to meet real needs and deliver meaningful impact.
Leading in Sustainability
We are committed to minimising our environmental impact and championing sustainable practices across all our operations. Every office is now equipped with energy-efficient LED lighting, significantly reducing our carbon footprint. Our teams have driven major improvements in recycling and the reduction of single-use materials, and we continue to seek new ways to make our workplaces even greener. Sustainability is not just a goal – it’s an ongoing journey, and we’re proud to be leading the way.
The Audit – What Sets Us Apart
The SVQM Silver audit included interviews with staff, service users, and external partners. The feedback praised our clear strategy, strong leadership, and the way social value is woven into our daily work. Recommendations for the future include:
- Establishing a social value development group with representatives from across the company.
- Increasing diversity and inclusion, reflecting the communities we serve.
- Making better use of social media to showcase our achievements.
- Measuring and reporting our impact more widely, including volunteering and local economic benefits.
- Continuing to engage all staff, especially carers, in our social value journey.
Looking Ahead
While we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to continuously improving. SVQM Silver is a springboard for even greater impact. We will keep listening, learning, and leading the way in person-centred, community-focused care. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our social value journey. Together, we are making a real difference – one life, one community at a time.
